The idea

A recruitment website does not need to look like a form before you have even chosen a path. This project borrows the tension, clarity and spectacle of an original 1990s arcade character selector, then pairs it with source-linked career facts.

The fictional representatives are not real officers. They stand for possible career paths and were created specifically for this project.

Independent by design

This project is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by any Australian police agency or government. It does not use official badges, crests or agency logos.

Jurisdiction names are used factually so prospective applicants can find the right official recruitment service.

Original arcade homage

The visual system celebrates a broad era of coin-operated fighting games—bold type, dramatic character reveals, scanlines and selector energy—without copying any game logo, character, stage, sound, layout or publisher asset.

Accuracy model

Recruitment facts live in a typed dataset, separate from the interface. Important fields include a source URL and verification date. Where a comparison-ready fact could not be verified, the interface says “Check official site.”
